Hamos EKS

The hamos EKS separator sorts plastics by type regardless of their colour. The machine is available in single and double versions with processing capacities up to 1,500 kg /h. This sorting technology is extremely suitable for fine granulates or grinding materials.

Operating Principle

The material is electrostatically charged via a vibrating table. Then the material passes onto a belt where a high voltage attracts or repels certain particles depending on the type of plastic.

Hamos KWS

The hamos KWS separator removes all metals from various types of fine material flows. The machine is available in single and double models with a processing capacity of up to 1,500 kg/h.

Operating Principle

The material is electrostatically charged and applied to a grounded roller. Conductive particles (e.g. metals) immediately lose their charge and follow a normal curve. Non-conductive particles stick to the roller and are deflected.

Metal detectors for plastic granules or grinding materials

To prevent contaminated granulate or grinding material from ending up in your extruder or injection moulding machine, good metal detectors are extremely important.

The hamos fully automatic metal detectors ensure that metals do not disturb the extrusion or injection moulding process. They are available in various shapes and designs depending on the place where they are installed. Both iron and non-ferrous metals are separated without problems. We can even remove difficult to separate stainless steel from your plastic granulates without any problems. Your machines are thus perfectly protected. This sorting technology can also be used in plastic recycling.

Fall stream separator HS

This fully automatic metal detector is placed in a trap pipe. A sensor detects the metal particle and this particle is automatically discharged.

PSS metal separator

This is the little brother of the Steinert ISS sensor separator. A detector sees all the metal particles and with a blast of compressed air these metal particles are ejected from the granulate. This is a fully automatic separation. Ideal for granlometries up to 30 mm and a processing capacity of 250-400 kg/h. This principle is also used in plastic recycling. Metal separator FFS for pneumatic transport

This fully automatic metal detector is built into the pneumatic line and extracts all remaining metal particles without any problems.

Last Chance Separator LCS

To ensure that no metal particles enter the injection moulding machine, the Last Chance Separtor is used. The name says it all: it removes the remaining metal particles from the granulate as a last resort.

Hamos RSS

The hamos RSS elastomer separator is used for the dry separation of rubber and other elastomers from plastic regrind. The hamos RSS was developed to produce high-quality plastic regrinds such as PP, PS and ABS as a largely rubber-free fraction by dry means.

Requirements for your material

In order to achieve an optimum separation result with the hamos RSS, the plastic mixtures to be separated must be as follows:

  • Dry plastics
  • Particle size 2 mm to 10 mm
  • Dedusted material (fine dusts should be separated)
  • Maximum moisture less than 0.5

Operating principle

The plastic mixture contaminated with rubber should be dust-free, dry and smaller than 10 mm to achieve an optimum separation result. The contaminated plastic fraction is collected in a silo, for example, and conveyed to the supply hopper of the elastomer separator. In the hamos RSS separator, almost all elastomers that occur are now separated. The result is a clean, practically rubber-free plastic regrind that can be transported away, e.g. by a screw conveyor, and filled into big bags. Thanks to optimized machine settings, the hamos RRS also produces a highly concentrated rubber fraction.
