OrbitMill

The OrbitMill at a glance
- Centrifugal ball mill
- Similar plant layout and operation to conventional rolller mills
- Simultaneous grinding and drying possible
Advantages
- Simple machine construction
- Easy maintenance
- No heavy concrete foundation required
- Only few wear parts, i.e. reduced wear part cost
Operation Principle

The mill rotor moves the grinding balls along the orbit/grinding ring. Due to the centrifugal forces acting on each grinding ball the material to be ground is reduced by pressure and friction between the balls and the orbit. The airflow allows a continuous process. The producte fineness is adjustable by the speed of the incorporated dynamic air classifier.
Final product: d97 = 20 up to 400 µm
Feed material: up to 20 mm
Hardness: up to 5 Mohs

FluxxMill

The FluxxMill at a glance
- Horizontal drum ball mill
- Continuous process
- Improved product flow
- Simultaneous grinding and drying possible
- Iron free grinding possible
Advantages
- Improved product flow through the mill
- Designed for high airflows
- No product blockage at mill discharge
- No hevay concrete foundation required
- Simplified drive
Operation Principle

The horizontal mill drum rotates with fixed but optimum speeds and transmits the grinding energy to the balls. The comminution takes place between the grinding media by compression, friction and impact. The airflow allows for a continuous process and a uniform product flow through the drum. Product and air leave the mill drum and enter the external dynamic air classifier.
Final product: d97 = 20 up to 500 µm
Feed material: up to 30 mm
Hardness: up to 9 Mohs
